Anna May Daulton Read-A-Thon September 2017
Last year we raised money for new student computers for our campus. Thanks to your generosity, we raised enough money to ensure every classroom has at least three student computers! We got rid of some the oldest computers, and added computers to those rooms who didn’t have three working student computers.
Our main focus this year is guided reading. Teachers check out student sets of reading books for each of their reading groups. We would like to increase volume and variety to the books available for guided reading. With 700 students, an adequate guided reading library will require many books. Along with guided reading sets, we plan to use some of the funds for the following: improvements in student technology, instructional materials, and staff professional development.
